Ghazals have long carried the voices of mohabbat, jazbāt, and khayāl. Every month, we share a small echo of the culture that shapes us.
This month, we’re sharing Mujh Se Pehli Si Mohabbat — a ghazal where Faiz Ahmed Faiz moves from personal emotion to the ache of a wider world. Sung by Noor Jehan, it is often mistaken for a simple love song, yet beneath lies a political pulse. Faiz reminds us that beauty and awareness must coexist.
